ICT Education / Empowerment
KBI Schools was an early adopter of Coding and Robotics education, run in-house rather than through a third-party vendor. STEM, Coding & Robotics launched school-wide from the 2023/2024 session, and Computer Studies was upgraded and renamed Digital Technologies — now compulsory for every student.
- Structured curriculum covering programming languages, robotics concepts and hands-on projects
- Age-graded group projects — e.g. JSS1/JSS2 studying the history of robotics
- Tablet-based Scratch and Micro:bit MakeCode classes
- A push for every student to have personal computer access, both for coding practice and because WAEC has moved to full CBT
Our programme has been publicly showcased in promotional material — including a student confidently explaining a Python script — as a real example of the programme's results.
